United Way Introduces Dennis Elsenbeck as 2010 Campaign Chair
The United Way of Buffalo & Erie County is delighted to announce that Dennis Elsenbeck, Regional Executive of Energy Solutions Services for National Grid's western division, is Chair of its 2010 Campaign.
In his role at National Grid, Dennis is responsible for representing the region's large commercial and industrial customers in terms of energy sales, reliability, and service, along with public affairs and community relations. He was previously regional manager of the Mohawk Valley region, and has been with National Grid for twenty years. Prior to joining National Grid, Dennis held positions with United Technologies Building Systems Group and Carrier Corporation.
Dennis holds an associate's degree from Mohawk Valley Community College, a baccalaureate degree from SUNY Institute of Technology in Utica, an M.B.A. from the University of Rochester, and a masters in engineering from the University at Buffalo. He is currently Chairman of the Board of the Amherst Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Niagara Enterprise and the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation, and a member of the Advisory Council of USA Niagara Development in Niagara Falls. Dennis has a mechanical engineering degree from UB.

Tim Doolittle To Serve As Vice Chair
Tim Doolittle, who served as the 2009 Campaign Chair, will continue his service to United Way and to the community as the Vice Chair for the 2010 Campaign. Tim started his career as the Deputy Town Clerk of Tonawanda. He then moved on to the New York State’s Governor’s Office of Regional Affairs, where he served in two key roles: Regional Representative and later Upstate Regional Director. He next served as the Regional Director of the Empire State Development Corporation. With over 15 years of diverse and progressive experience he is currently enjoying his role leading the management of a vital nonprofit organization in the Western New York community.
Doolittle is a Board member of the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, the United Way of New York State, and the Buffalo Niagara Film Commission. He founded the Ken-Ton Friends of Youth Foundation, Inc. and is also a member of their Board of Directors. He has served as the Co-Chairman of the business division for the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County Campaign Cabinet. He served as the past Chairman of the State Employee Federated Appeal (SEFA) as well as a member of its Steering Committee. He is a past Board member of Buffalo & Erie County’s Literacy Volunteers of America, 100 Club of Buffalo, Buffalo Urban Development Corp., InfoTech Niagara, and Insyte Consulting. He is also graduate of Leadership Buffalo, Class of 2001.
A native of Jamestown, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in both Criminology and Political Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Doolittle currently resides in Tonawanda, NY.
