Executive Service Corps of Western New York

The Executive Service Corps of Western New York (ESCWNY) is a part of the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County. ESCWNY is a member of the national Executive Service Corps Affiliate Network. This model, with over 30 years’ experience, engages volunteer consultants with nonprofits, for a fraction of the market price. The nonprofits are charged a small amount to cover non-personnel expenses and to assure a commitment to the consulting project. The consultants themselves are all volunteers and are not paid. ESCWNY has strict standards for its consultants. The consultants must have substantial work experience in their areas of expertise; and, must attend three days of consultant training provided by the Small Business Development Center at Buffalo State College.

ESCWNY currently offers consulting in these practice areas:

• Change Initiatives: Creative problem solving facilitation; facilitating large group events; implementing change.
• Human Resources: Executive coaching; executive search; personnel policy manuals; succession planning.
• Resource Development: Earned income strategies; fundraising planning.
• Technology: Help desk implementation; long term technology plans; network design configurations.
