FROM THE PRESIDENT
Although our Campaign is most visible in workplaces and in the larger community in the fall and early winter, on April 1 of each year we begin the process of evaluating the prior year’s effort and planning for success in the current year. While our 2009 Campaign result was lower than we had hoped, I am confident that we are on a path to improve our performance this year and into the future.
Over the past few months, we have been engaged in a strategic planning process to ensure that all our efforts are directed toward achieving a clearly articulated mission, vision, and set of values and objectives. The outputs of this process, which we anticipate will conclude this summer, will further galvanize our staff and volunteers to work both harder and smarter to bring people, organizations, and resources together to improve quality of life in our community.
As we move forward, we will continue to seek efficiencies in our operations so that we are making the greatest possible impact with the resources we have available. We will ensure that we are holding ourselves and the agencies we fund accountable for tracking and articulating measurable outcomes for people in substantial need. And we will continue to develop and nurture the partnerships and collaborations that make it possible for our community to engage in long-term, strategic activities that lead to measurable and sustainable change in the areas of Education, Income, and Health and Wellness.
LIVE UNITED is about giving, advocating and volunteering, and none of this work can be done without the support of you, our donors and volunteers. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to the well being of this precious community.
