Youth Access Coalition

Youth Access Coalition is a consortium of representatives from organizations throughout Erie County who share a collective vision to positively impact the lives of school-aged children. Together we meet to share resources and opportunities for children and families and to identify systemic issues causing hurdles or hardships which can be mitigated through focused problem solving and resource collaboration.

The coalition is composed of representatives from local school districts, post-secondary institutions, community based organizations, youth activity vendors, parents, local businesses and those connected to social justice and social service support.

Young people should have a voice in the programs, opportunities and decisions that impact their lives.
As a Youth Ambassador, you’ll help bring the perspectives and experiences of young people directly into the work happening across our community

WHAT YOUTH AMBASSADORS DO
As part of United Way of Buffalo & Erie County’s Youth Access Coalition, Youth Ambassadors will: 

• Attend workshops that build leadership, civic engagement and community knowledge 

• Share their experiences, perspectives and ideas to help shape community initiatives 

• Provide feedback on programs, services and planning efforts 

• Participate in meetings, discussions and engagement opportunities, both virtual and in person 

• Represent the voices of their peers and help create better opportunities for young people across our community 

Be Part of the Conversation
Youth Ambassadors participate throughout the school year and summer, with opportunities to join workshops, events, meetings and other activities along the way.
