Board Leadership Training

Step into nonprofit leadership by joining United Way of Buffalo & Erie County’s 2026 Board Leadership Training. Back by popular demand after a successful spring session, this three-part training series returns this fall.

Designed for emerging and aspiring board leaders, this hands-on program helps you build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to serve effectively on a nonprofit board through three engaging sessions.

September 16: 4:30pm – 6:30pm
September 23: 4:30pm – 6:30pm
October 7: 4:30pm – 7:00pm

Board Leadership Training participants are invited to attend a fall Board Match Event at United Way to meet with nonprofit organizations and learn more about available board and committee positions. Graduates have the opportunity to find the best match for their skills and interests, and nonprofits receive individuals ready for hands-on board service.
