United Way General Campaign Donor Choice Program – Agency Certification / Recertification
United Way requires 501(c)(3) organizations that have recently received or may receive tax-deductible donor contributions through our General Campaign to recertify* with us annually. This is also necessary for agencies eligible for funding from United Way of Buffalo & Erie County’s program investments. During this period, we contact selected agencies and request their participation in validating contact information, current IRS eligibility, and Anti-Terrorism Compliance.

*This recertification is NOT related to the State employees’ (SEFA) or Federal workers’ campaign (CFC), as these are separate requirements.
