They say deals are made on the golf course, and Women United wanted to make sure that the women in our community were a part of them! Those who were already experienced with the game spent their day out on the green honing their skills, while those new to the game spent the day learning how to chip, drive, putt and more from the resident golf pros at Transit Valley. Afterward, everyone gathered for lunch to network and share their experiences from the day. Check out all the photos from the event here.

first annual breakfast & panel discussion

wednesday, march 8, 2023 @ burchfield penney art center

Women United sold out their first event to celebrate the power of women giving back at their First Annual Breakfast & Panel Discussion at the Burchfield Penney Art Center. A casual, intimate breakfast and mingling were followed by a panel discussion featuring local leaders who have advanced their careers through a commitment to community.

Our panelists included women in different points in their careers, who come from different industries and backgrounds, all with diverse volunteering and philanthropic experiences. We were excited to celebrate International Women's Day with an inspiring group of panelists and to have United Way's new President & CEO, Trina Burruss, moderate the discussion.

Panelists included:

Paulette Crooke - Retired Banking Executive

Kawanza Humphrey - Chief Human Resources Officer, VyStar Credit Union

Anna Stolzenburg - Director of Social Media & Content, Pegula Sports Entertainment
