United Way Community Care: What Matters.

    childyouthwomansenior
Did you know...
  • 22.7% of children under 5 in Erie County live in poverty.
  • One in three high schoolers won't graduate with their classmates.
  • Last year in Erie County, police responded to 4,300 domestic violence incidents.
  • 16% of Erie County population is 65 or older.  Nearly half of all senior citizens live alone.
You and United Way are making a difference!

Over 66,000 Western New Yorkers gave to United Way of Buffalo & Erie County last year. Through contributions to Community Care, we invest millions of dollars in local programs that make an impact on the lives of Western New Yorkers. From preschoolers to senior citizens, these programs provide support and assistance to tens of thousands of people in our community.

We recognize that our community's biggest problems won't be solved without a larger effort, and we don't do our work alone. We make partnerships that bring together a wide range of people and organizations - individual and corporate donors, other funders, agencies, and government - to ensure a brighter future for our entire community.  Take a look through our website to see how we're making a difference!
