Community Baby Shower Sponsor Spotlight: Citi
As the Community Baby Shower gets closer we wanted to recognize our amazing sponsors, their generous contributions along with contributions from community members like you make Community Baby Shower possible. Today we spoke with Courtney Krueger, VP of Market Communications for Citi Bank.
What does it mean to your organization to be a sponsor of Community Baby Shower?
Citi Buffalo has been a sponsor of the United Way Community Baby Shower for many years, and it is a staff favorite. Sponsoring this program allows our dollars to reach many mothers and babies through the various community organizations United Way works with. Employees jump at the opportunity to attend the Packing Party and help out the new moms!
How does Community Baby Shower support your organization's mission and/or support your organization's values?
Citi Buffalo has a long history of supporting our community with volunteerism and modest investments and the United Way Community Baby Shower provides an opportunity for Citi Buffalo employees to give their time – our greatest gift – while equipping new mothers in our community the necessary tools to succeed.
What would you tell someone who is considering participating in Community Baby Shower?
Supporting the United Way Community Baby Shower is a simple way to make a big impact in our community. It’s also a great way to involve employees in the charitable giving that companies are a part of!
Any favorite Community Baby Shower memories you'd like to share? What are you excited about for this year's Community Baby Shower?
This is my very first Community Baby Shower and I can’t wait for the Packing Party! I have been participating in the United Way’s Day of Caring for years. I was first involved in the Day of Caring as a teen when I was selected by my employer to serve as a volunteer for the event. The passion and desire to help new mothers has not waivered and this full circle moment with Citi standing in the gap for new mothers is inspiring to me as well as many of my Citi colleagues.
