Coordinated Approach to child health

Obesity is a major issue throughout our community. In fact one third of children in Erie County are obese. That's why United Way of Buffalo & Erie County supports programs like the Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH). CATCH brings fun and engaging curriculum to elementary students to encourage healthy eating and physical activity. CATCH creates an environment that makes healthy decisions fun and creates lasting changes in behavior.

Did you know? One third of children in Erie County are obese.

CATCH is implemented in 45 local schools serving pre-k, elementary, middle, and after-school programs. CATCH currently reaches over 23,000 children.
